WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ— Woodmont Properties will invest $10 million to renovate and improve the energy efficiency of the vacant 400 Alexander Park office property it owns in West Windsor Township, NJ. ” Woodmont Properties has owned 400 Alexander for more than two decades,” Eric Witmondt , chief executive officer of Woodmont Properties, tells GlobeSt.com exclusively . “Given this extraordinary location, the great demand for Class A office buildings in the Princeton market and the opportunity to attain LEED certification, Woodmont saw the value in investing in the future of the building given the strong fundamentals of the market.” The planned renovations for the 71,000-square-foot building will enhance the overall energy performance of the property to attain LEED certification. The building is undergoing a complete renovation, including a new curtain wall system, a redesign of the lobby and all core areas including elevators, restrooms, new mechanical, electrical equipment and heat. The renovations will also include a computer controlled energy management system and a two-story atrium lobby. When completed, 400 Alexander will be transformed into a sustainable, efficient and innovative building. “We are extremely excited to convert 400 Alexander into an architectural/engineering state of the art facility,” said Witmondt . “Creating a sustainable property with a magnificent presence will not only benefit our tenants, but also the surrounding community.” Situated in one of the Princeton area’s premiere office parks, 400 Alexander is within three miles of downtown Princeton and Princeton University and located a half mile from the Princeton Junction train station, with access to NJ Transit and Amtrak with services to NY Penn Station, Philadelphia and Washington DC. The property is also only a half mile off of Route 1 and is in close proximity to the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstates 105, 295 and Route 130.
