DALLAS—In a move to position the firm for added growth, Butler Burgher Group (BBG) is expanding its executive leadership team. As executive chairman, Diane Butler will guide the organization as the liaison between the board of directors and firm management. “I was always optimistic that BBG would reach a point that would require additional executive support,” says Butler. “It’s exciting to see the firm achieve this important milestone.” Hiring Chris Belknap as chief financial officer brings structure, along with additional finance and operational strength. Promoting Chris Roach and Richard Dagnall adds service-line power in their respective roles as president of valuation and advisory services, and president of assessment. Roach tells GlobeSt.com: “I can say with confidence our executive leadership is the best in the business. It’s exciting to be part of such a dynamic team.” In his role, Roach is responsible for all operations and team members of the valuation and advisory services side of BBG. He previously served as senior managing director of the western region, which grew under his leadership. Roach has risen through the ranks since re-joining the firm in 2009. He previously served as a vice president for LandAmerica Valuation Corporation with extensive experience in commercial real estate valuation and management. Preceding LandAmerica, he served as a senior appraiser at Butler Burgher Inc. from 2002 to 2007. Dagnall will direct all operations and team members of the assessment services side of BBG. He joined BBG in October 2015 as senior managing director in the Houston office. Prior to joining BBG, Dagnall served as senior managing director of assessment and consulting services with CBRE Inc. , where he was instrumental in growing the firm’s due diligence practice into one of the industry’s leading providers of assessment services. Belknap has more than 12 years of experience in finance and operations. Prior to his current position, he served as vice president finance and corporate controller at Ryan LLC , leading an international team responsible for global financial reporting and analysis, tax and compliance, treasury, and the traditional core accounting functions for a $400 million global tax services firm. He has also worked at Haynes and Boone LLP for 10 years as controller and financial consultant where he controlled the overall quality of the financial statements for a $310 million full-service international law firm. Butler moved into the role of executive chairman. She has 30 years of commercial real estate experience in valuation and consulting. Under her leadership, BBG has become the fastest-growing independent commercial real estate valuation and consulting firm in the United States, currently ranking in the top five. “We now have the right people in place to take BBG to the next level,” Butler continued. “This move solidifies the leadership structure BBG needs to compete with the industry’s top valuation and assessment firms.”
