CHICAGO— Sara Spicklemire , one of Real Estate Forum’s 50 Women of Influence in 2015, has just joined CBRE as a senior vice president of its agency leasing team. A Chicago real estate veteran, Spicklemire spent the last four years with MB Real Estate , most recently as senior vice president and managing director of leasing services, the first woman and also the youngest professional in the firm to have that title. She also served as the youngest member of the firm’s executive committee, where she contributed to the firm’s overall direction and strategy. “My whole career I have been extremely client-focused, it’s what keeps me awake at night, and it’s hard to compete with the platform that CBRE has to offer their clients,” Spicklemire tells GlobeSt.com. “Having someone of Sara’s caliber join our market-leading Agency Leasing team will only strengthen our presence in Chicago,” says Jim Carris , senior managing director with CBRE. “Sara has incredible experience on both the owner and tenant side and has the reputation for being extremely client-focused. Her work ethic, leadership and industry knowledge are just a few of the characteristics that make her one of our market’s top performers. We are extremely excited to have her on our team.” As an owner representative, Spicklemire’s work spans every asset class, from marquee properties such as 10 and 120 South Riverside Plaza, 515 N. State St., 181 W. Madison St., loft properties in River North and River West such as 225 W. Ohio St. and 910 W. Van Buren St., and redevelopments such as the repositioning of Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower at 300 E. Randolph St., following its 23-story, 900,000-square-foot vertical expansion. Key clients have included Callahan Capital Partners , CBRE Global Investors , Beacon Capital Partners and Daymark Realty Advisors . Spicklemire has also been president of the Young Office Brokers Association , and for the past five years, she has served on the steering committee for the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s commercial real estate awards and has worked with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Chicago for more than a decade. Spicklemire is a LEED accredited professional and has a BS in business legal studies and international business from Indiana University .
