VEDP Names Interim CEO | NGKF Continues to Recruit Local Brokers

WASHINGTON, DC—COO Dan Gundersen has been tapped as the interim CEO of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. Meanwhile, NGKF has hired more local talent to build out its Mid-Atlantic offices and LCOR has promoted two associates.

RICHMOND—The Virginia Economic Development Partnership has named its chief operating officer, Dan Gundersen, interim president and CEO. Gundersen has been COO since May 2014, joining the economic development agency from Philadelphia-based Econsult Solutions. He succeeds Martin Briley, who has been at the helm of the organization for close to five years. The VEDP did not provide a reason for Briley’s departure. NGKF Recruits More Talent for Its Mid-Atlantic Operations BALTIMORE—Newmark Grubb Knight Frank has recruited more local talent — in this latest case two leasing brokers and a capital market specialist — as it builds out its Mid-Atlantic presence. Dan Callihan and Karen Robertson, a team that specializes in landlord representation, have joined NGKF’s Baltimore office from CBRE as executive managing director and  managing director, respectively. Also, retail investment sales specialist Mat Adler joins the Washington, DC office from KLNB Retail, where he helped launch the retail Capital Markets platform several years ago. LCOR Promotes Two Associates to Development Manager BETHESDA, MD—LCOR has promoted Josh White and Matthew Hard to Development Manager. They work on transit-oriented development projects underway in the area.
