FRISCO, TX— Wade Park , the 175-acre $1.6 billion mixed-use development, is currently under construction at the Dallas North Tollway and Lebanon Road. Popular Texas athletic and lifestyle retailer, Tyler’s , and newly renamed Steak 48 —the acclaimed Arizona-based restaurant by brothers Michael and Jeffrey Mastro —are the latest additions to the list of tenants headed to Wade Park, according to Thomas Land and Development . “We are really looking forward to being a part of the North Dallas area and are eager to get to know the Frisco community. We are very proud to be a part of the amazing Wade Park project and are excited to be among the many fantastic businesses,“ said Dale Grimes , Tyler’s president and owner. Steak 48 and Tyler’s will open as part of Wade Park’s Phase I in 2017, featuring Hotel ZaZa and a vast selection of high-end retail, restaurants, entertainment venues and office space. Phase II, slated to open in 2018, will feature a luxury Langham Hotels and Resorts hotel, residential and additional office space. Stan Thomas , president and CEO of Thomas Land and Development tells GlobeSt.com: “Frisco is one of the nation’s fastest growing communities, and we’re meeting the market demand for a true destination center—introducing an excellent mix of first-class local and national brands, spanning hotels, restaurants, retail, office and residential.” The new Tyler’s at Wade Park will feature nearly 17,000 square feet of athletic and lifestyle apparel, footwear, eyewear and accessories, including the ever-popular private label Tyler’s t-shirts and merchandise. Founded in Tyler, TX in 1978, with a single store specializing in tennis and running, Tyler’s now operates several stores throughout the state, with Wade Park opening as the fourth location within the DFW Metroplex. “Our momentum is building with each new lease, answering the call for the DFW’s next great shopping destination. We’re particularly proud of the extraordinary lineup of tenants coming to Wade Park, where you’ll be able to visit shops like the beloved Texas favorite, Tyler’s, and also dine at firsts to the area like upscale Steak 48. Our vision is being realized, introducing an excellent mix of first-class local and national brands that can’t be found elsewhere,” says Thomas. The Mastro brothers behind Phoenix’s Steak 44 are bringing the latest version of the popular steakhouse to Wade Park. The new 10,500-square-foot steakhouse will be called Steak 48–a nod to its roots in Arizona, the 48th state admitted to the Union. The next-generation Steak 48 will include some Texas spins on the menu. This is the first location in DFW and the second in Texas following a much-anticipated late spring 2016 opening in Houston. “DFW is a great market, but the more time that I, Mike and Jeff spent here, the more we all realized what a special and dynamic place Wade Park is,” said Oliver Badgio , senior vice president of the steakhouse brand. “We’re excited to become a small part of such a great community in Frisco and specifically Wade Park.” The brothers and their father, Dennis Mastro , along with their partner, Scott Troilo , are the founders and creators of several well-known restaurant concepts including Mastro’s Steakhouse and Mastro’s Ocean Club , which they sold in 2007. They opened a new concept, Dominick’s Steakhouse , in Scottsdale, AZ in October 2011, followed by Steak 44 in Phoenix in April 2014 and the upcoming Steak 48 in Houston. The new Wade Park tenants will join previously signed shops, restaurants and entertainment venues including Whole Foods Market, iPic Theaters, Pinstripes Bowling, Bocce, Bistro, The Rustic, Yard House, Thirteen Pies, Steel City Pops, Torchy’s Tacos, Bread Zepplin, Arhaus, Sur La Table, Paper Source, MiniLuxe, Blo Blow Dry Bar and The Lash Lounge . In total, the first phase will feature approximately 600,000 square feet of specialty retail space.
