Riverwalk Riverwalk Arizona will yield an estimated 1.5 million square feet of corporate office and retail space.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ— R-Tech is a collaborative and creative office space at Riverwalk Arizona , a 176-acre mixed-use business park. GlobalTranz Inc. will be the inaugural tenant, signing a 70,347-square-foot lease to expand its sales and operations space at the co-working building. GlobalTranz will relocate from 7500 to R-Tech at 7350 N. Dobson Rd., where it will occupy an initial 40,000 square feet. In February 2017, the company will move its corporate headquarters from 5415 E. High St. in Phoenix to the remaining 30,000 square feet at R-Tech. “We are extremely excited to be making the leap to this facility. We are currently hiring 36 representatives per month and the additional 70,000 square feet is necessary to implement our strategic plan,” said Michael Leto , president-direct sales for GlobalTranz. One of the country’s largest developments on Native American land to date, Riverwalk Arizona will yield an estimated 1.5 million square feet of corporate office and retail space, and create up to 15,000 new jobs.  Riverwalk Arizona is set on prime land owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community , home to the Pima and Maricopa Indians, descendants of the ancient Hohokam Indians. Kurt W. Rosene , president of Novo Development, which represented The Alter Group , tells GlobeSt.com: “The Alter Group took an existing asset that was formerly the Arizona Design Center and repositioned the property as collaborative office space. The asset is unique in that it has a central atrium lobby. The lobby was entirely reconstructed to include a deli, a healthcare clinic and a combination of different break-out/meeting areas. We expanded the parking to 7:1,000 to address the desire of most tenants to densify their working environments. The buildings have a clear span of 15-foot 6 inches, so as tenancy becomes more dense, the added clear height projects a feeling of open space. The reaction to this type of space has been very positive and not from just technology companies, but all other sectors including financial, healthcare and management companies.
