chi-lincoln_0003 (4) CHICAGO— Baker Development Corp. will begin transforming a stretch of Lincoln Ave. in Lincoln Park this March when it demolishes the old Lincoln Centre complex and begins construction on ELEVATE Lincoln Park – a mixed-use 191-unit luxury apartment building. “Lincoln Avenue is the center of Lincoln Park and deserves an elegant building that will be the catalyst for restoring this portion of Lincoln Avenue to its original glory,” says Aaron Galvin of Luxury Living Chicago Realty , the exclusive leasing brokerage for the new project. “As the neighborhood's first class A luxury apartment building, ELEVATE will offer upscale finishes and high-end amenities that will rival other luxury apartments in Chicago.” ELEVATE will be located just a few steps from entertainment venues such as the Apollo Theater, Victory Gardens Theater and the Lincoln Hall as well as just two short blocks from the CTA's Fullerton Ave. train station. Scheduled for occupancy the summer of 2017, ELEVATE Lincoln Park's 16,300 square foot retail area will be located at 2518-36 N. Lincoln Ave. adjacent to the newly renovated Apollo, while residents will have an exclusive entrance at 930 W. Altgeld St. The new tower will have a wide array of unit-types including a mix of studios; convertibles; one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Sixteen penthouse units on the tenth floor will include three penthouse duplexes that feature elegant finishes, a gourmet kitchen, a large master suite, private outdoor space and views of the Chicago skyline. ELEVATE will offer its residents a full complement of amenities. Outdoor areas will feature a large courtyard that overlooks Lincoln Ave. and have lounging areas, grills and a fire pit – all in a landscaped setting. The building will also have a roof top plunge pool and an outdoor dog walk. “We worked closely with the Wrightwood Neighbors Association to design a vibrant development that would transform the neighborhood,” says development partner, Dan Slack of Baker. “The housing market has changed over the last 10 years with more people choosing to rent over owning. There hasn't been a new apartment building constructed in Lincoln Park like ELEVATE in decades. We expect that ELEVATE will be setting the bar for luxury apartment living.”
