AUSTIN, TX—Trendmaker Homes, a member of the TRI Pointe Group, continues to purchase lots and open new communities throughout Houston and Austin. As part of that continued sales activity, the firm has promoted four veteran employees.

Randy Barras is now serving as director of purchasing; Rhoda Davignon has been named vice president of sales and marketing; Collins Pier is now vice president of acquisitions and land development; and Terry Shuffler is vice president and general manager of the Austin division.

Will Holder, president of Trendmaker Homes tells GlobeSt.com: “We are pleased to be promoting these employees, who have all worked for the company in other positions. At Trendmaker, we firmly believe in promoting from within, which is illustrated by the fact that all of these employees have been with us and serving a multitude of roles over the last 10 to 20 years. We have a very experienced staff, which is pivotal to customer satisfaction and quality.”

Based in the Houston division, Barras was previously purchasing manager for Trendmaker Homes. Barras joined the team at Trendmaker Homes in December 2000, serving as estimator and contract administrator before climbing the ranks to starts estimator, followed by purchasing analyst, and on to starts manager. His new position as director of purchasing at Trendmaker Homes will include planning and directing the purchasing and estimating team.

Also based in the Houston division, Davignon was previously director of sales and marketing for Trendmaker Homes. Davignon originally started with Trendmaker Homes in August 2003, serving as closing coordinator before being promoted to closing supervisor, and, subsequently, sales operations manager. Davignon's new position as vice president of sales and marketing at Trendmaker Homes will be to oversee the strategic direction of all marketing and sales operations in the Houston region.

Based in the Houston division, Pier was previously director of acquisitions and land development. Pier began his journey with Trendmaker Homes in April 2006, serving as project manager before being promoted to senior project manager. Pier's new position as vice president of acquisitions and land development at Trendmaker Homes will include identifying lot acquisition opportunities consistent with Trendmaker's value proposition, as well as overseeing all land development projects.

Based in the Austin division, Shuffler was previously director of production for Trendmaker Homes' Houston division. Shuffler started with Trendmaker Homes back in April 1994 where he began his two-decade-long tenure as a builder before being promoted to area manager. Shuffler's new role will be to oversee the Austin division, which Trendmaker Homes opened in October 2015.
