Meringoff Grabs Avison Young Director

NEW YORK CITY—The latest appointee will serve as VP of leasing.

David Cohen David Cohen has joined Meringoff Properties as VP, leasing.
NEW YORK CITY—Meringoff Properties announced that David Cohen has joined the company as VP, leasing. He comes to the firm from Avison Young, where he was a director specializing in commercial leasing. “We are very excited to have David as part of our team,” says Leslie Himmel, co-managing principal of Himmel + Meringoff Properties, of which Meringoff is an affiliate. “He will be playing a vital role as we look to grow our portfolio of buildings.” Cohen earned his degree from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, where he majored in finance and real estate. He is actively involved in the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, where he has earned multiple awards as a recognized leader in raising awareness and money for the Long Island chapter. “David was a wonderful part of the Avison Young team for many years, and we know he will be a great addition to the Meringoff team as well,”  Avison Young president and managing director A. Mitti Liebersohn tells GlobeSt.com. “We wish him the best of luck.”
