MORRISTOWN, NJ— Industry veteran Mikki Columbus , the former director of real estate and economic development for the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation (Queens, NY), has joined The Rockefeller Group as senior manager of development and financial analysis. Based in The Rockefeller Group’s Morristown, NJ, office, Columbus leads the development and formulation of financial strategies for the company’s New Jersey and Pennsylvania operations, including asset performance, lease projections and project evaluations. Columbus is specifically focused on a number of major industrial projects in the region, including Rockefeller Group’s 1.3-million-square-foot development in Cranbury, New Jersey — Cranbury Station Park — which is currently the largest industrial spec project in the state. “Having Mikki on board has already been enormously beneficial to our New Jersey and Pennsylvania operations — specifically in terms of industrial development strategy — as we continue to rapidly expand our footprint in the region,” says Clark Machemer , senior vice president and regional development officer for The Rockefeller Group’s New Jersey/Pennsylvania office. “We’re thrilled to welcome Mikki to the team and look forward to continually utilizing her breadth of real estate and financial expertise.” Before her work at GJDC , Columbus was assistant vice president in HSBC’s global asset management division. “The collaborative culture that The Rockefeller Group offers, combined with an extensive roster of high-profile projects in the region, are what attracted me to the company and have made being a part of the team here so exciting thus far,” says Columbus . “ The Rockefeller Group and its projects, which essentially span every sector of real estate, allow me to work alongside some of the most innovative, creative and attentive professionals in the industry.” Columbus holds a bachelor of arts degree in classics from Wesleyan University , and an MBA from Columbia University Business School . She also holds a certificate in real estate from the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate .
