RICHARDSON, TX—A recent sale by JPI of the 30-acre class-A development, Jefferson Center , sets the high-water mark per unit sale for a walk-up community in DFW. The record-breaking sale is due in part to its list of amenities and sheer size. Jefferson Center is about three times the site size of an average multifamily property with 360 units. Located within the city of Richardson’s Telecom Corridor , just south of President George Bush and west of Custer, Jefferson Center’s indoor and outdoor amenities have attracted residents in almost every life stage across the Metroplex. In addition to the sale, another Jefferson project, South Side Flats by Jefferson , is now open. The 290-unit apartment community sits on 3.9 acres in the South Side neighborhood of Dallas. South Side Flats is a joint venture between JPI and land owner Matthews Southwest , as well as a partnership with the City of Dallas and Dallas County. Jefferson Center offers large parcels of open space and community areas that encourage a sense of neighborhood among its residents including more than 14 acres of greenspace which equates to almost 50% of the property site. South Side Flats by Jefferson is a multifamily development that provides a low-maintenance, urban, walkable experience enhanced by amenities and technology. With the influx of young, urban professionals, this development is helping revitalize one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, attracting exciting retail and entertainment options just south of downtown. As a result of South Side’s strategic location, residents are within walking distance of the Dallas Farmer’s Market, newly opened Alamo Drafthouse, South Side Ballroom and Soda Bar. Residents also have nearby access to South Side, Deep Ellum and Oak Cliff as well as the DART Cedars Station. South Side Flats is a pet-friendly development with 22 one- and two-bedroom open floor plans as well as live-work studios with views of downtown.
