Chisholm Ranch The development is less than a 12-minute drive to downtown Fort Worth.
FORT WORTH— Chisholm Trail Ranch , a 261-acre residential community also to include commercial retail properties, is the first new development to begin construction along the $1.4 billion Chisholm Trail Parkway , which opened in May 2014. The Walton Group community will feature approximately 1,100 single-family residential homes, with Phase 1 to include 169 home sites. John Vick , president south region, Walton development and management, tells GlobeSt.com: “The Chisholm Trail Parkway has been in the planning for generations and is now a reality. This provides access to the Ft. Worth CBD, which previously has not been the case. This access to southwest Fort Worth is opened up in a way it has never been in the past.” The project is located at the intersection of the new Chisholm Trail Parkway and McPherson Boulevard, less than a 12-minute drive to downtown Fort Worth. Adjacent to the new 75-acre Chisholm Trail Park , anchored by the newly opened Chisholm Trail Community Center , it is located along McPherson Boulevard. The community will be part of an expansive hike-and-bike trail system linking existing parks and school sites throughout the area. A new elementary school will be part of the first phase of the community, within the Crowley independent school district. Residents will have access to the Chisholm Trail Ranch Recreational Center to be completed within Phase 1 of the community, featuring a 7,500 square-foot clubhouse with a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool and kiddie pool/splash-pad. The outdoor amenities are all adjacent to the children’s playground and community trails that connect throughout the parks, open spaces and the new elementary school. “Chisholm Trail Ranch is positioned to become a vibrant master-planned community in this growth corridor. We’re excited to work with Antares (Homes), Dunhill (Homes), HistoryMaker (Homes) and Sandlin Homes on this landmark first project along the new Chisholm Trail Parkway,” says Vick. “We selected these veteran local builders for their experience and the quality of their homes. They are an integral piece in establishing Chisholm Trail Ranch as we introduce this fresh, new thoughtfully-crafted community that meets the needs of the way families’ live today.” Antares Homes has been building homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for more than 18 years. Founded by Texas Association of Home Builders hall of honor member Ron Formby , the company was acquired by Tommy and Lisa McAden in December 2013. Since 2013, Antares has focused primarily on developing home offerings that match its customers’ lifestyles, expanding its community footprint and implementing processes to provide a great home buying experience to its customers. Dunhill Homes is a division of Winchester Carlisle family of companies, headquartered in Dallas. The Dallas Business Journal ranked Dunhill Homes 18th on the list of fastest-growing private companies in North Texas. Dunhill Homes has been recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency as an Energy Star -certified homes leadership in housing award recipient for 2013 and 2014. HistoryMaker Homes is one of the top homebuilders in the DFW area for move-up and new homebuyers. Currently under fourth-generation leadership, HistoryMaker Homes remains as dedicated to the local community as it was when founder O.N. Mitchell began his company in 1949. The company is known for its innovative floor plans and energy efficiency at competitive price points. Sandlin Homes is a family-owned business that’s been following a tradition of excellence for more than 59 years. Founded by J.B. Sandlin and operated by his sons, Mike, Terry and Scott, and brother-in-law, Matt Speight, Sandlin Homes has earned numerous accolades for its ethics and community involvement. The commercial and retail component of Chisholm Trail Ranch will be executed by Stratford Land and the real estate investment firm, Legacy Capital . “Building the residential portion is the first step in transforming Chisholm Trail Ranch into a flourishing community with retail, shopping and dining,” said Peter Aberg , partner at Legacy Capital. Walton is a privately held, multi-national real estate investment and development group in Texas, with US headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ.
