ORLANDO— Larry Kahn has joined Cushman & Wakefield ‘s Orlando office . He will serve as a director in the firm’s Industrial Brokerage Services Group. An 18-year commercial real estate industry veteran, Kahn will focus on rail-served industrial real estate. He specializes in site selection and bringing rail-served properties to market across Florida. Freight rail is a growing logistics business offering its users a competitive market advantage. “The depth and breadth of his knowledge in logistics, freight and real estate is extraordinary,” Larry Richey , senior managing director and Florida market leader. “Larry will provide our clients with the insight they need to make informed decisions at a time when Florida’s distribution network is growing by leaps and bounds.” Kahn previously served as vice president at Foundry Commercial Real Estate (CNL Commercial Real Estate). Before that, he was a partner and director of business Development at MetroOne and was president of Sun National . Kahn is experienced consulting domestic and international parties on issues regarding freight and the development of manufacturing and distribution facilities. He has worked with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on multiple projects, including the Interstate 75 Stakeholder Task Force, the Intermodal Freight Technology Working Group and the Advisory Board for Logistics Led Economic Development. Kahn also authored the FDOT’s Primer on Intermodal Logistics Centers, and advises various Economic Development Commissions in Florida. He has a long track record of volunteerism. Kahn has served on the Orange County Public Schools’ Member Transportation Committee as well as it’s Bi-Racial Committee. He vice chairperson on MetroPlan Orlando’s Freight Study Group.
