Hartz Mountain Leases 65,000-Square-Foot NJ Property to Topgolf International

EDISON, NJ— Hartz Mountain Industries has leased a 65,000-square-foot property to Topgolf  at  Edison Towne Square  in Edison, NJ. Topgolf will be a stand-alone venue as part of a larger retail development, Edison Towne Square , which is situated on the site of the former Ford Motor plant on Route 1, a mile south of the intersection of the NJ Turnpike and I-287. Jerry Welkis and David Sternschuss , principals of Welco , a part of the X Team International  alliance, brokered the transaction for Hartz Mountain. The venue is slated to open between fall 2016 and winter 2017. “We are proud to have represented Hartz Mountain Industries as they introduce this global golf entertainment leader to the New Jersey area,” says Welkis . “This is the company’s first location in the northeast, and we are confident that Topgolf will thrive in this location.” Topgolf has been in business for 16 years, in 24 US locations serving more than eight million guests worldwide. The venue offers point-scoring golf games with balls that instantly track the accuracy and distance of players’ shots, food and drinks, dynamic event spaces, a KidZone program, golf instruction and more.
