SAN ANTONIO, TX—A new office building has broken ground in the Westover area near SeaWorld. The GM Financial Servicing Center is to be located on a 13.8-acre site where its 100,000-square-foot, two-story facility will be built. It sits off of Raymond E. Stotzer Jr. Freeway, at the intersection of North Ellison Drive and Westover Link. “Somervell aligned itself with the highly motivated and professional team of Bob Moore Construction of Arlington, TX and RVK Architects of San Antonio, TX in order to commit to such a fast track construction program,” said Jesse Pruitt , CEO of developer Somervell Commercial Realty . Somervell’s Pruitt participated in a recent ground-breaking ceremony, along with Texas governor Greg Abbott , numerous GM officials and local dignitaries. The project received tax abatements from Bexar County and the city of San Antonio as well as a $2.5 million grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund . The facility’s exterior walls will display a stone pattern created by reveals and at least two colors. Tinted green glass curtain walls will add architectural interest at the two-story entry atriums on the north and south sides. Landscaping for the building will reflect and complement a palette of Hill Country limestone and plants. Somervell Commercial Realty provides development, brokerage and consulting services to commercial real estate clients. Company founder Pruitt is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and past member of NAIOP, ULI and the International Real Estate Institute . He also was one of the four founders of the Dallas Real Estate Council . Pruitt tells GlobeSt.com: “We are honored that GM Financial trusts our team to build this great new servicing center in San Antonio. Their needs are immediate and we are beginning construction in order to have the building ready for spring 2017 move in.”
