Scioto River Project Brings Firms to Waterfront

Columbus plans to bring more parkland and recreational space to its riverfront, making the urban core more appealing to the younger tech workforce.

COLUMBUS—Columbus officials have said that the city’s Scioto Greenways project, which will create more parkland and recreation options along the Scioto River downtown, will attract office users to the waterfront.

And last week officials from BakerHostetler, one of the city’s top law firms, said they had signed a lease agreement for about 62,000 square feet of space at 200 Civic Center Dr., right on the Scioto Mile District, the $40 million redevelopment area which now has 145 acres of parkland.
