GSA Holds Open House for Sugar Grove Station

WASHINGTON, DC—So far there have been zero bidders for this self-contained town in West Virginia.

WASHINGTON, DC—The General Services Administration is holding an open house today for what is essentially a self-contained town it is hoping to sell. Now called Sugar Grove Station, the 122.8-acre development once served as the Navy Information Operations Command. The online auction for the Sugar Grove Station property began February 9, 2016. This is the first open house GSA is holding for the property, which is located at 133 Hedrick Dr. in in Pendleton County, West Va. Sugar Grove Station has approximately 105 structures and is large enough for 400 people to comfortable live, GSA says. There is an administration facility, fire/emergency services center, a police station, a retail complex, youth and fitness centers, and recreational lodging consisting of 10 cabins and 9 camping sites. There are 80 housing units, as well as 53 Bachelor Enlisted Quarters housing suites of 106 rooms. It sounds like a nice spread but so far there have been zero bidders .
