ATLANTA—Cooper Carry, an Atlanta-based design firm, is flexing its collaborative office design muscle. The company is designing an office space for eVestment, an institutional investor data and analytics firm.
The software company will move its corporate headquarters from Marietta, GA in September 2016. The firm will take up residency at 100 Glenridge Point Parkway at Perimeter Center in Atlanta.
“The 'tech-style village' design will foster collaboration and innovation,” Kim Rousseau, principal of Cooper Carry's interior design studio, tells GlobeSt.com. “It was important to both Cooper Carry and eVestment that the new space excites and inspires current and future employees.”
As Rousseau tells it, eVestment wanted a collaborative design that would accommodate dynamic growth quickly, support its fast paced business, and offer employee comfort and life balance. Cooper Carry is essentially morphing a traditional workspace into what Rousseau described as a “tech-style village.” Inside there is an industrial chic sophistication with communal seating including plywood picnic tables, bar-style stools, open work stations and graffiti walls.
“We decided to create a loft office environment with a dynamic stair connecting workers on different floors, standardize a singular workstation size, provide key amenities, such as a robust fitness center and a large gathering break area connected to an exterior deck via garage doors; and lots of natural light,” Rousseau says. “It's a creative evolution of the start up garage.”
eVestment's new headquarters includes more than 75,000 square feet. The office space spans three floors and two partial floors of the five-story building. As the company grows, there is additional expansion opportunities within the building and office park.
“Since beginning this project, we have been mindful of infusing this workspace with functional features that promote open dialogue and innovation while creating an inspirational place where the employees feel like they are part of something great,” says Rousseau. “We believe this design creates a dynamic environment that represents eVestment, and ultimately, will prove to be an extremely efficient and enjoyable use of space.”
