Atrium Post Acute Care of Woodbury, NJ

WOODBURY, NJ— In an unusual transformation and redevelopment, Atrium Health & Senior Living has opened a post-acute care center in Woodbury, NJ on the site of the former Woodbury Country Club. “We were in the market for an atmosphere that would help our patients feel right at home and, ultimately, improve their overall wellness,” Kevin Breslin , managing member, Atrium Health & Senior Living , tells GlobeSt.com exclusively . “The property that the country club used to sit on now gives our patients a beautiful view and an outdoor environment to enjoy at their leisure.” The new center brings state of the art technologies to the community, including advanced rehabilitation equipment, such as a HydroWorx 1200 Aquatic Therapy Pool, an AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill and Accelerated Care Plus programs and technologies. The private patient rooms are equipped with a personal television and mini refrigerator, Wi-Fi, high-quality air purification, warm lighting, hypoallergenic bedding and blackout shades. The center also holds a movie theatre, bistro and pub. “Woodbury is close to a number of hospitals in the region, which among other things made the town a great fit for us,” says Breslin . “The location of the former Woodbury Country Club gave us the opportunity to build upon a legacy that had already been established within the community.” With the addition of Atrium Post Acute Care of Woodbury , Atrium now operates 44 post acute care centers and senior living communities with more than 2,600 residents and patients in Michigan, New Jersey and Wisconsin. Since December 2015, Atrium Health & Senior Living has grown by more than 20 percent, aided in part by the acquisition of ten centers and communities in Wisconsin. “Bringing our level of healthcare to the communities that we serve has remained our top priority,” says Breslin . “In Woodbury, we identified the opportunity to raise the standard of post-acute care through our holistic approach to rehabilitation, with an individualized treatment program for each of our patients that ensures a faster recovery and a sooner return to their regular lives.” Atrium Post Acute Care of Woodbury can provide care for up to 124 patients. Atrium ultimately expects to develop an assisted living community and a memory care assisted living community on the 40-acre campus.
