FIFE, WA— Dermody Properties , headquartered in Reno, NV, recently broke ground on a 225,972-square-foot industrial facility, known as LogistiCenterat 167, at 7450 26 th St. E. Fife, WA. LogistiCenterat 167 is ideally suited for distribution operations because of its strategic location. The facility is located 1.7 miles from Interstate 5 and the Port of Tacoma, the largest deep water port in Washington. Other industrial operations in the neighborhood include Regal Distribution, Milgard Windows & Doors, Mission Foods, American Fast Freight, Gensco, Fed Ex Freight, Odom Corp., Pexco, UPS and Prologix Distribution Services. “This site is located in the heart of Fife’s industrial neighborhood. A future customer will benefit from its proximity to ground and port shipping, as well as being near such excellent corporate neighbors,” says Phillip Wood , a partner at Dermody Properties Northwest Region Office. “We look forward to working with our construction partners to make this facility ready for future occupancy.” The new bulk warehouse and distribution center will feature 32-feet clear height, 70 dock doors, four grade-level doors and 166 car stalls. Construction is expected to be complete this September. Owned and developed by Dermody Properties, LogistiCenter at 167 is represented by Vanessa Herzog, Patricia Loveall and Kraig Heeter of Kidder Mathews . The building is being designed by Craft Architects and the general contractor is Poe Construction . “We are excited to be breaking ground in the Puget Sound market,” says Douglas A. Kiersey Jr. , president of Dermody Properties. “The project is consistent with our strategy of investing in key distribution markets with sustainable demand drivers and high barriers to entry for competitive developments.”
