SAN DIEGO— Derek Hulse has joined Cushman & Wakefield in San Diego as managing director. In this role, Hulse will represent multiple properties totaling approximately four million square feet and specialize in the leasing and sale of office properties in the Downtown and central markets.
Hulse will be an integral part of the office team helping to further expand the presence of Cushman & Wakefield in several key markets. Dan Broderick , market leader, Southwest, of Cushman & Wakefield, welcomed Hulse to the firm and said he would be a critically important addition to the team. “Derek is well-known and respected in the San Diego commercial real estate community,” said Broderick. “He has built a great track record with clients, in particular with value-add repositioning of office buildings in Central San Diego . His reputation, experience, leadership and integrity are perfect fits for our platform and our culture. He is an excellent match for our team and we’re thrilled to have him join the firm.” Hulse joins from Colliers International where he was involved in a multitude of complex lease and sale transactions that have included the full ownership cycle of acquisition, reposition, value-add lease up and disposition. “Throughout my 11-year career, I’ve strived to be the best office leasing and sales broker in San Diego, taking a collaborative, strategic, and industrious approach.
