ORLANDO— Patrick Berman and Jason Donald are transitioning to Cushman & Wakefield ‘s Capital Markets Group. Both commercial real estate industry veterans have also been promoted to managing directors. Berman and Donald formerly worked in Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Services Group. Now, the duo will specialize in single-tenant net-leased assets, sale-leasebacks and unanchored retail center acquisitions and dispositions for private capital clients in the Tampa Bay area. “We feel that this transition aligns perfectly with the strengths of our team, the needs of our clients and the state of the market,” Berman tells GlobeSt.com. CushWake associate Todd Tolbert , who was a member of the Berman-Donald team, will continue with the firm’s retail services group. Berman joined CushWake in 1998 as a retail specialist and focuses on the sale of shopping centers, net-leased assets and retail land. During his career, he has sold and leased over $2 billion of commercial and residential properties in the US and Canada. Donald joined the firm in 2010 and specializes in the acquisition and disposition of net-leased assets, sale-leasebacks and unanchored shopping centers. “There is tremendous growth potential in the Gulf Coast’s retail capital markets,” Donald tells GlobeSt.com. “Aligning ourselves with Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group and its industry-leading platform and resources will allow us to capitalize on these opportunities and create value for our clientele.” Berman, Donald and Tolbert have more than 60 years of combined commercial real estate experience and have sold more than 200 investment properties. They have been named Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors (FGCAR) Top Retail Producers for seven consecutive years, have won FGCAR’s Investment Deal of the Year, have earned the FGCAR’s Million Dollar Producer designation, have been awarded Cushman & Wakefield’s Brokerage Service Excellence Award and have been named CoStar Power Broker on numerous occasions. The team’s client list includes 7Eleven, Achieva Credit Union, Bank United, Bright House Networks, Chase, Crispers, CVS, Dollar General, Driven Brands, Dunkin’ Donuts, The FGS Group, Grow Financial, Hess Oil, KLA Schools, Learning Care Group, Publix, Quest Diagnostics, Sears, Simmons, Sprint, SunTrust, Starbucks, Time Warner, Verizon and Walgreens.
