SVP Mark Newman of HelmsleySpear

NEW YORK CITY—Mark Neuman, former director of acquisitions and development for locally-based Glory Capital, has joined HelmsleySpear as an SVP.

Kent Swig, president of HelmsleySpear, says the new hire will be focused on business development, property management, leasing and new investment sales. Neuman also will looking to recruit agents to join the firm and will work with Swig on the acquisition and development of commercial and residential properties and projects here. Swig is also the president of real estate and development firm Swig Equities and the owner and co-chairman of residential real estate firm Terra Holdings.

“We are delighted to have Mark join HelmsleySpear as the company is reestablishing itself as a leader in the segments of property management, leasing, and investment sales throughout the New York City commercial markets. We expect to make additional announcements of our expansion,” Swig says.

Neuman adds, “Today's real estate investors demand better asset and property management services, easier access to information driven by new technologies, and straightforward communication with investors and/or clients.
