Cushman & Wakefield senior director Jeff Sweeney and associate Austin Johnston represented Morgan & Morgan in the transaction. ORLANDO—Miami may be the law capital of Florida, but the center of the state is also seeing some legal office action. The law firm of Morgan & Morgan just acquired a 3,736-square-foot office building in Ocala, FL. Cushman & Wakefield senior director Jeff Sweeney and associate Austin Johnston represented Morgan & Morgan in the transaction valued at $535,000. That equates $143 per square foot. “This building proved to be a great fit for Morgan & Morgan’s expanding network of law offices,” Sweeney tells GlobeSt.com. “It offers the requisite finishes and excellent exposure along East Silver Springs Boulevard.” Morgan & Morgan, which is developing a network of local offices across Florida, acquired the one-story office building at 1007 East Silver Springs Boulevard in early May. The property becomes the law firm’s 19 thoffice in the state and its first in Marion County. Morgan & Morgan is expected to move 15 attorneys and support staff into the building this fall. A personal injury injury law firm, Morgan & Morgan was founded in Orlando in 1988 leading personal injury law firm employing more than 300 lawyers and nearly 1,500 support staff in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Arkansas. Morgan & Morgan has represented more than 75,000 clients nationwide. Is 2016 the year to buy? Check out my recent column.
