Starbucks Starbucks joins a key corner retail site in Beaumont, TX.
BEAUMONT, TX—After demolishing a previous building, a retail site located at the hard northeast corner of Interstate 10 at College Street (Highway 90) has been redeveloped and fully leased. With an end plan of creating an impact on the retail landscape, Houston-based Baker Katz redeveloped the site, adding national tenants to five new spaces within the property. Starbucks, Mattress One and Wingstop will occupy the 6,100-square-foot building. T-Mobile and Access Dental will each have 2,800 square feet in the second building. “This site was particularly interesting to us due to the impact we know we can make on the evolving retail landscape in this trade area,” said Baker Katz broker Lunden McGill . “Two brand new buildings and five high-profile tenants bring prominence and synergy to an important intersection that will benefit the Beaumont community and real estate market significantly.” Along with the goal of improving the retail landscape on the corner, the location was chosen due to its visibility and the daytime population concentration along with growth of medical users along College Avenue. McGill tells GlobeSt.com: “We’re excited to bring additional respected national tenants to the intersection.
