MakeOffices' Largest Lease in DC Is Quickly Topped By Another

WASHINGTON, DC-The collaborative office space provider is taking 45,000 square feet at The Wharf.

WASHINGTON, DC-Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, the master developer of The Wharf, has secured another office tenant for 800 Maine Ave., now under construction. MakeOffices, a provider of collaborative office space, is taking 45,000 square feet on the building’s second and third floors.

800 Maine, set to deliver in the third quarter of 2017, is an eleven-floor, 220,000-square-foot office building at the corner of 9th Street and Maine Avenue, SW. The American Psychiatric Association and lobbying firm Van Scoyoc Associates have also signed leases for space there. The  new about the lease at the Wharf followed by days MakeOffices’ opening of a 40,000-square foot office in Clarendon, VA, at 3100 Clarendon Blvd .  When that deal was announced, MakeOffices said it would be MakeOffices’ largest open location in the DC area. But that was then. Now that title goes to The Wharf — for the time being.
