HOUSTON—With membership plans ranging from full-time dedicated offices and co-working plans to occasional drop-in plans, Serendipity Labs offers productive, welcoming environments that meet the on-demand workplace needs of remote and mobile workers, telecommuters, business travelers and project teams. The headquarters lab is in Rye, NY. There will be 10 locations in cities such as Ridgewood, NJ and Aventura, FL. Chicago and Nashville will roll out during the next three to four weeks. Dallas and Maui, HI will also be announced this summer. Stamford, CT will open in August, Bethesda, MD in September and Miami in November. This gives Serendipity Labs a national footprint. By adopting the hospitality industry model and working through franchisees, it is also a different model than other co-working enterprises. With this method, it is possible to take advantage of local knowledge and scale quickly. The Houston lab will be open by December. The franchisee in Houston is Cameron Management , owner of the historic Esperson building , which will manage 10 labs in the Houston area. Upscale Houston Coworking will have a street-level entrance at 808 Travis St. Membership plans will include private offices, workstations, team rooms and co-working space. In addition, meeting and event accommodations with catering and audiovisual equipment will be available. John Arenas , CEO of Serendipity Labs, tells GlobeSt.com: “We are pleased to work with a leading Houston property owner and manager in creating a workplace destination for downtown. Cameron Management is a world-class partner, and we look forward to extending the benefits of our entire network of labs to the greater Houston metropolitan area.” Serendipity Labs’ inspiring workspaces are designed for mobile workers, independent professionals and project teams who need flexible terms. With insightful workplace design guidance by Steelcase , Serendipity Labs members can choose the way they want to work, connect, collaborate or focus. Private enclaves, ideation studios, lounges and work bars are just a few of the many workspaces available in every labs location. With a level of hospitality that rivals elite hotels, labs members also get corporate service standards in technology, security, communication and document management.
