Technology will continue to make real estate transactions more efficient and more liquid. Those thoughts are according to Eli Randel , director of business development at CREXi , who recently chatted with GlobeSt.com about his thoughts on all things retail . As GlobeSt.com previously reported , Randel heads the new CREXi Miami office for the firm. According to Randel, while some think technology is a reason to add more fees and friction costs, “we believe technology will actually decrease transactional friction costs and speed up transaction times creating a more liquid and trading like environment.” Brokers will always be an important part of real estate transactions but can be armed with more tools and deeper buying pools to operate more quickly and efficiently, he explains. “Historically, a disconnect between supply and demand has resulted in buyers unable to find the deals they are looking for and sellers unable to find enough buyers to achieve top pricing and easily sell assets,” he tells GlobeSt.com. “Our marketplace acts as a conduit where supply and demand efficiently meet, friction costs are minimized, and transaction time can be decreased.”
