Brewery Theater Concept a First in Denton County

LITTLE ELM, TX—Flix differs from other dine-in theater concepts as it is the only first-run cinema that is also a fully functioning craft brewery.

Flix Flix Brewhouse is expanding throughout the Southwest and Midwest.
LITTLE ELM, TX—The Flix Brewhouse concept combines the latest Hollywood productions, brewed-on-premises craft beer and food–all served in theater. Flix differs from other dine-in theater concepts as the only first-run cinema that is also a fully functioning craft brewery. The Round Rock, TX-based brewhouse is opening the company’s first North Texas location at Main Marketplace in Denton County. The approximately 35,000-square-foot dine-in movie theater is expected to open in early summer 2017 on the northwest corner of FM 423 and Main Street. Flix Brewhouse currently operates locations in Round Rock, TX, Des Moines and Carmel, IN, as well as another currently under construction in Albuquerque. “We are looking forward to opening our first DFW location, as we embark on an aggressive expansion plan throughout the Southwest and Midwest regions of the US,” said Matt Silvers , Flix Brewhouse’s senior vice president of real estate and brand development. “This site in Little Elm, with multifamily units already under construction next door, will provide an immediate opportunity to introduce North Texas moviegoers to Flix Brewhouse in a dynamic neighborhood setting.” Venture Commercial’s Chris Corbin , along with Bob Moore , represented Flix Brewhouse in the lease, while David Levinson of The Retail Connection represented the landlord. Corbin continues to work with Flix Brewhouse on site selection in additional select locations for this new concept. Corbin tells GlobeSt.com: “Following our initial meeting with the developer, we learned Little Elm city officials had their crosshairs on identifying both a first run dine-in theater as well as a craft brewery to drive the entertainment component of the development.  Flix Brewhouse will satisfy both desires conveniently under one roof.”
