WESTMINSTER,  CO— The Orchard Town Center , a 914,000-square-foot open-air regional retail center located here, has announced two new initiatives to show support of Colorado veterans.  Vestar ,  which acquired the center in 2014 in a joint venture with UBS , oversees property management, leasing and marketing at The Orchard.

The Orchard has partnered with Colorado Veterans Project to bring awareness and appreciation for all veterans and their families.  In 2016, The Orchard has committed to donating a portion of its parking meter revenue to the Colorado Veterans Project .  The meters will be branded with the Colorado Veterans Project logo to bring awareness to the funding in addition to the organization itself. The Colorado Veterans Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that hosts special events in order to raise awareness and funds for local veterans and Veterans organizations.  Their mission is to enhance pride and patriotism in all Coloradans by building a stronger, more supportive community around veterans. The Orchard has also created six designated parking spots reserved for wounded veterans.  The parking spots feature prominent signs provided by the Wounded Warrior Project , a military and veteran’s charity service organization empowering injured veterans and their families. “We saw a need to bring more support and awareness to Colorado Veterans in the Denver North Metro.  As a major attraction and community hub of the North Metro, we felt The Orchard could make an impact by implementing these two very important initiatives supporting our Colorado Veterans,” said J.T. Fulton , general manager of The Orchard. “Colorado Veterans and their families are an important part of our community at The Orchard and these new initiatives are just a small way to show our thanks and appreciation for our heroes.” Located on the northwest corner of Interstate 25 and 144th Avenue , The Orchard offers guests a charming town square atmosphere with tree-lined pathways leading to anchor tenants, specialty shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. The center is anchored by Macy’s, JCPenney, SuperTarget, AMC Theatres, H&M, Forever 21, Ross Dress for Less, REI , and Lifetime Fitness .  Orchard Town Center also features other nationally-recognized tenants including Chico’s, Victoria’s Secret, Eddie Bauer, Old Navy and ULTA Beauty .
