Why One Company Left Palm Beach for Deerfield Beach

MIAMI—The Learning Experience, which focuses on early education for children six weeks to six years old, is relocating its global headquarters. The company just signed a 39,000-square-foot lease at Hillsboro Technology Center, a newly constructed business park located east of Interstate 95 and north of West Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach, FL. The Learning Experience is moving from its Boca Raton office s in the fall of 2017. The new office space represents an expansion for the firm, with 28,000 square feet over two full floors and a separate 11,000-square-foot space designated for its new flagship Academy of Early Education preschool. “Our enterprise continues to grow at a rapid pace nationally,” Richard Weissman , chairman and CEO of The Learning Experience, tells GlobeSt.com. “As such, it has become more crucial than ever for us to expand our global headquarters into a modern office space that encapsulates the essence of our company and is able to accommodate our state-of-the-art training, technology and video production facilities. The new location in Deerfield Beach represents double the space of our current Boca Raton offices and will be a more convenient location for the majority of our growing corporate employee base.” The Learning Experience’s new headquarters will match the company’s ethos of “Learn. Play. Grow,” which encourages an engaging and collaborative environment. The needs of Millennial and Generation X workforce inspired the new office space . It will feature: open workspace and common areas; a 3,000-square-foot training facility for teachers, franchisees and staff to learn best practices; a 1,500-square-foot video and digital production studio; large, full kitchen and coffee bar with Starbucks machines; and a usable slide connecting both floors of the headquarters, a constant reminder of the demographic the company serves: children. “Hillsboro Technology Center is the newest business park to be brought to market in Broward County, and with office , industrial , and hotel product, there is no other project like it currently being developed in Broward or Palm Beach County,” says Malcolm Butters , president and principal at Butters which, along with Bristol Group , co-developed the project. “With immediate access to Interstate 95, 30 minutes away from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport, it will be the proud home of high-standard tenants and their employees.” Hillsboro Technology Center sits in Northeast Broward County right next to the four-way interchange of Interstate 95 and Hillsboro Boulevard. When complete, the business park will total about 925,000 square feet and will feature class A warehouse distribution facilities, offices, and a limited service hotel . The first phase of the project will also include a developer-donated recreation building for Deerfield Beach and a public park with jogging and walking trails.
