TYSONS, VA-M.C. Dean is leasing 85,807 square feet at Greensboro Station, a three-tower, 630,000-square foot office complex that is located next to the Greensboro Metro Station. It is also part of the Bethesda, MD-based Meridian Group's The Boro, a 4.2-million square foot mixed use development that will break ground later this summer.
Meridian acquired Greensboro Station from Science Applications International Corp. in 2013. It then invested $30 million in renovating the complex, which at the time was 25% leased. Cvent eventually leased 128,000 square feet for its headquarters in the redeveloped building and now with M.C. Dean moving its headquarters to the complex, Greensboro Station is 91%.
Another new tenant at The Boro, albeit in another soon-to-be-developed building, is TEGNA, the former Gannett Co., which announced it was taking 60,000 square feet in Boro Tower last month.
The Boro Tower is a 20-story, 440,000-square foot office that will be part of the community's first phase. Its first phase will also include 700 residential units, 223,000 square feet of retail and the Boro Tower. At full build-out, The Boro will have more than 1,500 residential units, 1.8 million square feet of office, 316,000 square feet of retail, and 250,000 square feet of hotel space.
CBRE's Terry Reiley and Dan Grimes represented Meridian Group in its latest lease. CBRE's Erik McLaughlin, Malcolm Schweiker and John Redeker represented M.C. Dean.
