Sixty-five is the new fifty-five. A common quote, as boomers are not ready to retire into the sunset. However, there are also pre-Boomers who are a testimony to their ability to remain more than relevant. One such example is Irving Levine who launched the Copley Fund back in 1978—less than a year after “Saturday Night Fever” was released. He was just awarded the Wall Street Journal’s Winners Circle Award for his 20.67% gain for the past 12 months. Levine describes his management strategy, like his tennis game, as “steady, involving no gambling or big risk-taking, and doing what ought to be done carefully.”Oh, by the way, Irv is 94 years old.
