Medical office Aprima expects to take occupancy of the new facility beginning next month.
RICHARDSON, TX—Finding Richardson a better fit for a corporate headquarters location and the ability to house all key operations under one roof, an approximate 55,000-square-foot lease has been signed at 1010 E. Arapaho Road. Aprima Medical Software Inc. has inked the lease in a relocation from other North Texas facilities including the company’s current headquarters in Carrollton, TX. “By relocating our headquarters to Richardson and streamlining our operations under one roof, we expect to achieve significant efficiencies, enhance customer satisfaction and produce even greater career opportunities for our employees,” said Aprima president and CEO Michael Nissenbaum . “Richardson is a great base for us because of our long-standing relationship with UT Dallas and strong partnership with the university’s Jonsson-Green School of Engineering , which produces tech-savvy professionals who contribute meaningfully to many of the world’s top companies. We are excited to join the Richardson community and continue building on our long-term strategy for growth and innovation in serving thousands of leading medical practices.” Aprima, a provider of innovative electronic health record, practice management and revenue cycle management solutions for medical practices, expects to take occupancy of the new facility beginning in August 2016. The facility will initially house about 250 Aprima employees. John Jacobs , executive vice president of Richardson Economic Development Partnership tells GlobeSt.com: “From the heyday of telecom, Richardson has evolved to become a diversified home for a number of technology sectors, in Aprima’s case, software and medicine. We’ve been able to grow this multi-discipline cluster thanks, in part, to a plentiful supply of prime real estate, which still includes some of the largest contiguous blocks of office space available in DFW.” The new headquarters will house Aprima’s corporate administrative functions, product development, customer support, training and project management, and revenue cycle management operations. Aprima also has a remote workforce throughout the country, but nothing is outsourced overseas. The company may also consider facility expansion as business circumstances dictate. Aprima has experienced consistent double-digit growth in its recent history and expects this trajectory to continue into the future. “Aprima Medical Software’s relocation further validates Richardson’s strong commitment to supporting leadership and innovation in the healthcare and information technology sectors,” said Richardson mayor Paul Voelker . “We are very pleased to welcome Aprima to Richardson’s incredibly vibrant Telecom Corridor area. We know they will benefit from synergies with other business innovators and academic partners in our community, and we wish them much success in the future.” John L. Roper , a senior vice president with CBRE , represented the tenant in lease negotiations. Momentum Commercial Realty’s Roy Greenberg and Bryan Lurie handled the negotiations on behalf of the property owner. Dallas-based Momentum Commercial Realty recently acquired the three-story office building.
