BOSTON—CBRE/New England has promoted Taidgh McClory to managing director/partner of New England Brokerage who in his new post will look to drive the firm’s business development and sales management initiatives. He tells Globest.com that a key facet of his new responsibilities will be the integration of the firm’s various client services. In his new role at CBRE/New England, McClory will be responsible for business development, investor/agency account management, client care efforts and CBRE/NE’s civic and industry engagement across the region. “As we look to further expand our presence throughout New England, Taidgh will play a complementary role in elevating CBRE/New England’s expertise and capabilities,” says CBRE/New England president and co-managing partner Andrew Hoar. “This new role is a natural progression for Taidgh, given his proven track record and more than 13 years of experience with our firm. His approach and values align well with our overall business goals in the region.” McClory, who joined CBRE/New England in 2003 as a member of the Downtown brokerage group where he specialized in commercial brokerage transactions for tenants and landlords in downtown Boston, says, “I see my role as a convener of services. Traditionally brokerage, which is a big part of our business, has been quite siloed. Not just at our company, but in the industry. The goal we have is to make sure those silos are connected and integrated more and that there is more sharing and collaboration of information and knowledge.” Some of those CBRE/New England service lines, in addition to brokerage, include property management (the firm manages 35 million square feet in the region); project management, which is a growing service line; as well as capital markets. He says his background in brokerage and on the marketing side of the business will serve him well in this new role at CBRE/New England. McClory said that if successful, the integration of services initiative will better service the firm’s clients, but also create new business opportunities as well. He adds that while the commercial real estate services industry is highly competitive here, the firm has recently logged its seventh consecutive year of record annual growth. “It is a competitive market, but we have the benefit of a global platform and really leveraging that platform on a local and regional level here in Boston and across New England, McClory says. He has more than 18 years of experience in strategic planning, brand planning and marketing. Prior to his new role, he served as senior vice president/partner of strategic planning & brokerage operations where he oversaw new business development and managed strategic accounts across all major business lines at CBRE/NE. He began his career in the advertising and marketing industry for five years with a focus on brand planning and market research. McClory is an active board member of MassEcon Alliance, corporate member of Boston Chamber of Commerce and full member of the Urban Land Institute. In addition, he serves as the chair of the diversity & talent committee for the Boston Commercial Brokerage Association, serves on the advisory board of the African American Real Estate Professionals—New England, co-chairs the Boston chapter of CBRE’s African American Networking Group and is a full member of the Real Estate Executive Council.
