PHOENIX— RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture , a 34-year-old firm headquartered in Austin, TX is expanding beyond Texas for the first time with fully staffed offices in Phoenix, along with Oakland, CA. The expansion advances RVi’s plan for sustainable growth and is made possible through an equity investment by national consulting firm Atwell LLC . “We are incredibly excited to join forces with Atwell, a company that shares our vision for smart, sustainable growth. This partnership will expand our capabilities, provide new professional growth opportunities for our employees and allow us to better serve our clients,” said RVi president Chris Crawford . RVi’s name and existing leadership team will remain in place, maintaining day-to-day operations. The Phoenix and Oakland offices, formerly Atwell-owned Golden Associates offices, will become part of and managed by RVi. RVi CEO Bob Richardson tells GlobeSt.com: “RVi is lucky to have a very talented team with diverse expertise in all of our offices. We are really looking forward to the opportunities this will bring for our employees to grow both personally and professionally.” RVi currently operates offices in Austin, Houston and Dallas, while this investment expands its offices from three to five and allows the firm to better serve clients in the western United States. It also allows Atwell to offer clients more expanded planning and landscape architectural design services. “We chose to invest in RVi because we respect what the company’s leadership has built over the past three-and-a- half decades,” said Atwell president and CEO Brian R. Wenzel . “RVi is a very well-managed company, and together, we are poised to achieve even greater success on a national scale.” RVi has grown into a national design firm recognized for its creative contributions in land use analysis, community planning and design of outdoor spaces. In more than three decades of practice, RVi has remained focused on creating functional and enduring spaces.
