Shoppes at Livermore The Shoppes at Livermore is slated for completion in 2017.
LIVERMORE, CA—A much-anticipated 120,000-square-foot mixed-use retail development called The Shoppes at Livermore is anticipated to break ground this fall. The project is slated to begin construction in January with a scheduled completion date in 2017. The Shoppes will be located immediately adjacent to the popular San Francisco Premium Outlets , which attracts some 4 million visitors each year, Globest.com has learned in this exclusive . RedMill Capital secured a $38.6 million construction loan for the project from lender American National Insurance Co. , based in Galveston, TX. Terms were not disclosed. The project is being marketed by executive vice president Julie Taylor and senior vice president Stephen Rusher from the San Francisco office of Colliers International . Rusher tells GlobeSt.com: “RedMill Capital, a privately held development firm based in Summit, NJ has, for most of its principals’ 25-year history, focused on retail-driven real estate projects in affluent markets like those surrounding The Shoppes at Livermore. With official ground breaking still months away, interest from potential national brand and local tenants has been overwhelming.” The Shoppes at Livermore will be comprised of a variety of discount fashion retailers and a mix of popular national brand quick-service and casual sit-down restaurants. It will be built on 13 acres south of the outlet mall at the intersection of El Charro Road and West Jack London Boulevard. Shoppers and diners will access the center at the traffic light leading to the outlet mall, along with two additional entrance lanes off West Jack London Boulevard. “The Shoppes will take advantage of the 4 million shoppers visiting the outlet annually and pick up where the outlets left off with the addition of nationally recognized fashion retailers and great restaurants,” said RedMill development director Jon Stocker . The Shoppes at Livermore also will provide numerous on-site amenities including outdoor seating, pedestrian-friendly crosswalks leading to the outlets and a new connection to the Arroyo Trail, a popular recreation area.
