CHICAGO—Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International has just formed Podolsky|Circle Construction Services, and appointed Michael Lebar, director of construction, to lead the division.
Podolsky|Circle Construction Services now offers a wide range of services including general contracting for tenant buildout and ground-up construction, construction management and advisory services. In addition, Podolsky|Circle Construction will advise and oversee building engineering for Podolsky|Circle managed properties.
“Working with brokers, tenants, and users to bring a more efficient process to their business is our goal,” says Lebar. “Our construction clients realize value through management of the process from start to finish – all while maintaining a single point of contact at Podolsky|Circle.”
“We continue to see great opportunity in the Chicago marketplace making this a natural extension to our management and brokerage services,” adds Alissa Adler, managing principal of the Riverwoods, IL-based Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International. “We've formed this new division and added Michael Lebar to give greater depth to our service capabilities and to be truly full-service to our clients.”
As director of construction, Lebar leads all construction related activities including pre-construction services, estimating, architect and engineer selections, design-build services, project scheduling, project management, construction management services and review of due diligence physical inspections. He also manages the municipal approval and entitlement process.
Lebar brings more than 20 years of construction management and more than 10 years of development experience to Podolsky|Circle. He has developed and constructed over 7 million square feet of industrial, office, retail, and municipal projects in IL, WI, IA, IN, MI, OH, KY, GA, and CA. Throughout his career, Lebar has completed projects for Maytag, Rustoleum, Medline Industries, Penske Logistics, Chrysler, Conde Nast Publications, Holy Hunt Furniture, Land of Nod and Journelle Chicago.
Most recently, Lebar was principal of Lebar Construction. Throughout his career he has held development and construction positions with First Industrial Realty Trust, NORESCO, and A. Epstein and Sons.
In addition to Lebar, Podolsky|Circle Construction will include Todd Jacobek who will serve as a senior vice president, engineering and technology. He joined Podolsky Circle in 1987. In his new role, Jacobek will provide engineering and operation input for construction services as well as offer third-party evaluations for building owners to assess building system functionality. He will also oversee the integration of energy management technology for third parties and existing clients.
