Appellate Court Green-Lights Inserra's ShopRite of Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, NJ—The project received unanimous approval from the Wyckoff's Planning Board in 2013 but on-going litigation by Stop & Shop has stalled construction and breaking ground. Stop & Shop's appeals of the approvals by the Bergen County Planning Board are still pending.

WYCKOFF, NJ—In the latest legal victory for Inserra Supermarkets in its fight to open a ShopRite in Wyckoff, the Bergen County Superior Court’s Appellate Division has ruled in favor of Inserra’s proposal. In a decision issued August 18, the Appellate Division unanimously affirmed lower court rulings, dismissing the final three counts in a 14-count objection filed by competitor-objector Stop & Shop.

Inserra Supermarkets has successfully turned back every legal challenge at both the Superior Court and Appellate Division levels, and says it is targeting a December of 2017 opening of a modern, 62,042-square-foot store at the corner of Greenwood and Wyckoff Avenues.
