PHILADELPHIA—Skanska USA named Sai Yerrapathruni vice president of business development for its regional Philadelphia office. He succeeds Dave Strange, who is retiring after six years as head of business development activities in the region.

In his new role, Yerrapathruni will lead business development activities on behalf of Skanska in Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.

“Since joining us nearly three years ago, Sai has contributed significantly to the success of our growth in the region,” says Ed Szwarc, executive vice president and general manager of Skanska. “He has developed strong relationships across market sectors and has worked to successfully position Skanska for numerous opportunities in the years ahead.”

Yerrapathruni brings more than 13 years of diverse experience in construction, management and business development to the role. Before joining Skanska, Yerrapathruni worked for Turner Construction in various positons including project engineer, estimator, preconstruction manager, business development and interiors.

Yerrapathruni holds a master's degree from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor's degree from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India – both in architectural engineering.

Skanska has extensive experience in both Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley working on such projects as SugarHouse Casino and the Philadelphia International Airport Terminal A expansions, as well as the new Indian River Bridge, Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children Expansion, and the University of Delaware Harrington Residence Hall in Delaware.
