Demolition Begins for Upper Rock District's Final Phase

ROCKVILLE, MD--The JBG Cos. has started site work on the final phase of the 20-acre mixed-use community here.

ROCKVILLE, MD–The JBG Cos. has started site work on the final phase of the Upper Rock District, a 20-acre mixed-use community in Rockville that is replacing a series of obsolete office buildings some of which are owned by JBG.

This last phase will be devoted to retail. JBG is building three single-story buildings on 4.5 acres, totaling 34,700 square feet.

CVS Pharmacy will encompass 14,600 square feet and is expected to deliver in mid-2017. A 16,000-square-foot MOM’s Organic Market will open in fall 2017. An additional 4,100 square feet of leasable space is being developed for restaurant and service retail.
