One and Two Potomac Yard

ARLINGTON, VA–The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has signed a long-term lease to occupy 74,248 square feet at Two Potomac Yard in Arlington, Va. Two Potomac Yard is a two-building office complex totaling more than 632,000 square feet that is owned by USAA Real Estate Co. as part of its US Government Building Fund.

MWAA will move into the building in March 2017. The authority currently occupies space at Reagan National Airport, but will be vacating it when construction gets underway for a passenger concourse that will replace the current outdoor aircraft gates.

CBRE's Erik McLaughlin, Malcolm Schweiker and Greg Carpentier represented the owner in the lease.

“This move was a great collaborative effort between USAA, CBRE and Savills-Studley, who represented MWAA,” said Schweiker in a prepared statement. “With the forced relocation of the tenant, we were able to quickly work together to find the best piece of property in the ideal location that was necessary to the operation of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.”

Savills-Studley brokers Bill Quinby, Wendy Feldman Block and David Cornbrooks represented MWAA.

The 10-year old building, located at 2733 Crystal Dr., has an open-space design which was important to MWAA, along with the floor to ceiling glass windows that provide clear views of the airport, CBRE said.
