Two Wisconsin Circle

WASHINGTON, DC–WeddingWire has expanded its footprint at Two Wisconsin Circle, where it has been occupying 49,000 square feet as a subtenant since 2014. The company has just completed a new lease for 68,000 square feet at the 235,000-square foot building that sits on top of the Friendship Heights Metro station in Chevy Chase.

The building is owned by a JV between Chevy Chase Land Co. and Northwestern Mutual.

WeddingWire has assumed prime tenancy in the new lease as well as taking an additional floor in the building in addition to its existing two floors of space it already occupies.

With the completion of the WeddingWire lease, Two Wisconsin Circle is now 96% leased.

Steve London with Savills Studley represented WeddingWire and Jim Cahill with CBRE represented the landlord.

WeddingWire is the second lease announced this week in which a creative or digital company took a major block of space in a DC building.

Separately WeWork announced it is taking 92,517 square feet at 1775 Tysons Blvd., a 476,000 square foot, 17-story office tower in The Corporate Office Centre at Lerner Enterprise's master-planned development, Tysons II.

“WeddingWire is an excellent example of the rise of the new tech class tenant in the Washington, DC region,” said Chevy Chase Land CEO Tom Regnell in a prepared statement.
