WASHINGTON, DC–Todd A. Lee is DC's new executive director of the Housing Finance Agency, following the DC Council's confirmation vote.
Lee has been acting executive director since April of this year. He has 20 years of experience in multifamily and commercial real estate finance. He was, for example, the VP for Multifamily Equity in the Community Investments unit of the Multifamily Division at Fannie Mae. There, Lee built a national investment portfolio that grew to 44,000 housing units valued at $4.5 billion. While at Fannie Mae, Lee held various positions in the multifamily division, including VP of Borrower Relationships Structured Transactions and Seniors Housing, director of Multifamily Equity and director of American Communities Fund.
Before his tenure at Fannie Mae, Lee was a structuring specialist in Bank of America's Real Estate Structured Debt Group and was VP at Chevy Chase Bank, now Capital One.
Lee began his career with American Security Bank's Community Development Lending Group in DC.
