HOLMDEL TOWNSHIP, NJ—Avison Young's project management team in Morristown, NJ has been selected by iCIMS, a human resources software company, to oversee comprehensive project management services for the company's move into its new 200,000-square-foot office space at Somerset Development's Bell Works complex, 101 Crawford Corners Road, Holmdel, NJ.

The Avison Young Project Management team, led by principal and managing director Edward Walsh, with vice president Tracey Kasper and senior project manager Lisa Lyng, will oversee a number of critical elements of the move, including hiring consultants, overall design and construction, office furniture selection, relocation coordination, and budget and contract management. The Avison Young team will be working with IA Interior Architects and AMA Consulting Engineers.

As part of the new design, iCIMS will have an open plan space, with an entrance off of the first floor level as well as adjoining stairs to additional floors which they will occupy. The plan also encompasses support spaces which include huddle rooms, conference rooms and pantries. The company plans to occupy the new space in the summer of 2017.

“We are delighted to have been chosen by iCIMS, a world-class corporation, to manage the renovation work and relocation to the Bell Works building in Holmdel,” says Walsh. “At this redesigned building, iCIMS will be the anchor tenant at a facility long known for groundbreaking achievements.

As previously reported by GlobeSt.com, The Bell Works facility, designed by architect Eero Saarinen, is a two-million-square-foot building surrounded by 472 acres of parking lots and green space and also the former headquarters for Bell Labs. Somerset Development is transforming the property into an indoor city, complete with a vibrant “downtown,” lined with stores and restaurants on the ground floor of the building's giant atrium. Offices and a hotel will fill the upper floors, and new single-family homes will be built nearby. The public library will have a branch in the building, and an onsite conference facility will be available to tenants for large meetings. The redevelopment will truly make the campus a “live, work, play and create” atmosphere.

“The type of technology that once occupied Bell Works was ground-breaking for its time and truly inspirational,” says Len Carella, vice president of infrastructure & shared services of iCIMS. “We are excited to work closely with Avison Young to help us transform the space into a technology hub once again, and attract a wealth of talent to help grow our organization well into the 21st century.”
