PHILADELPHIA—Nasdaq has selected HOK to design its new 75,000-square-foot office space in the FMC Tower in Philadelphia, PA.
“We are thrilled to be working with Nasdaq on this very important project,” says Lorraine Fisher, director of interiors in HOK's Philadelphia office. “The design will evoke the rich history of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, which Nasdaq acquired in 2008, while highlighting Nasdaq's cutting-edge use of technology. The dynamic and efficient planning solutions will promote collaboration and take advantage of the unparalleled views of Center and University City.”
HOK's design concept features a contemporary coffee bar and lounge, paying tribute to the Philadelphia Stock Exchange's 18th century origins at the Merchants Coffee House in Old City Philadelphia. Additional references to Nasdaq's legacy will include historical photos, environmental graphics and a commissioned art piece illustrating the Nasdaq timeline.
