NEW YORK CITY—Three veteran real estate finance attorneys have been added to the real estate practice of law firm Sidley Austin. Steven Koppel, Aviva Yakren and Adam Verstandig have joined the firm as partners in its office here.

Koppel, Yakren and Verstandig all came to Sidley Austin from the Jones Day law firm. According to their respective LinkedIn accounts, Koppel and Yakren were both partners at Jones Day for eight years. Verstandig was a partner at the firm for nine months and an associate for more than seven years.

Aviva Yakren

All three have national and global experience advising clients in all aspects of real estate private equity and real estate finance, including capital markets lending, community development finance, low-income housing and new market tax credit products, renewable energy project finance and high-yield and distressed debt/workouts.

Adam Verstanding

Sidley Austin is headquartered in Chicago and has 20 offices worldwide and employs 1,900 attorneys. The firm's office here is located at 787 Third Ave. The law firm first opened its local office in 1914 and employs more than 400 lawyers, according to its website.
