Marc Bodner, CEO of L&R Distributors

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ—Health and beauty products company L&R Distributors has signed J.G. Petrucci Co. to complete the design/build development of a state-of-the-art warehousing facility to be located at 11 Engelhard Drive in Monroe Township, NJ.

L&R expects the new facility to create a more streamlined and efficient distribution system by enabling the company to run all of its operations under one roof, condensing the company's two separate Northeast warehousing centers into a single, full-scale distribution center. L&R Distributors also operates distribution centers in Pine Bluff, AR, and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Construction of the new 130,000 square-foot, 36-foot high facility, situated on 8.7 acres of land, will get underway in mid-October. The facility is located at Exit 8A, near the New Jersey Turnpike and about 40 miles from New York City. The move is expected to create 40 to 50 construction jobs between all trades. Once running, the new facility will create 80 to 100 full time jobs in warehousing operations.

“A cutting-edge, distribution, innovation and training center delivers on our commitment to be designers of the ultimate shopping experience,” says Marc Bodner, CEO of L&R Distributors. “The new technology will expedite orders to our clients and provide an aisle-ready delivery to the stores we service.”

Mitchell Katz and Bryan Lee of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented L&R Distributors in the transaction, and Joel Lubin of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the J.G. Petrucci Company.

The new facility is expected to be completed early third quarter of 2017.
