NEW YORK CITY—Equity Office has signed a lease with one of the world's largest talent and literary agencies at the luxury Midtown office building known as Park Avenue Tower.
The tenant, ICM Partners, has agreed to rent over 35,000 square feet at the building, located between 55th and 56th Streets on Park Avenue, for 15 years. The new space—which is being built out to ICM's specifications—is slated for a late Spring 2017 completion.
Brian Waterman, Jared Horowitz, Ben Shapiro, Brent Ozarowksi and Lance Korman of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Equity Office, while Zachary Freeman and Scott Silverstein represented Equity Office in-house. Neil Goldmacher, Josh Friedman and Brian Goldman of NGKF represented ICM Partners.
Built in 1986, Park Avenue Tower is a 36-story, 620,000-square-foot office building that is undergoing a $40-million-plus capital improvement program. The property includes a reinvented lobby; a new outdoor plaza and The Club, a 20,000-square-foot span of exclusive amenity space for all building occupants.
The new space features a Technogym-equipped fitness center with an executive locker room facility, a business and recreation lounge, conference center and a grab-and-go food service.
ICM has offices here as well as in Los Angeles and London. The agency represents creative and technical talent in the fields of motion picture, television, books, music, live performance, branded entertainment, and new media.
“Our capital improvement plan has piqued the interest of varying prestigious companies and industries looking for a unique and heightened tenant experience,” says Freeman, VP of leasing for Equity Office.
He continues, “We're thrilled to see a world class creative and professional services company like ICM Partners diversify our tenant roster and identify with the cutting-edge amenities and modern design aesthetic we're offering at the re-imagined Park Avenue Tower.”
Current tenants within Park Avenue Tower include private equity, investment banking, hedge fund, and investment management firms. The roster includes National Bank of Canada, Oak Hill Capital Management, King Street Capital Management, TowerBrook Capital Partners, Eminence Capital, Stephens and Avista Holdings.
