KANSAS CITY—The industrial market in the Kansas City region has shown impressive strength over the past few years, and landlords continue to find tenants for recently-constructed speculative space. Shuttlewagon, Inc. has just signed a 15-year lease for 81,997 square feet of space in Building III at NorthPoint Development's Three Trails Industrial Park. The Nordco company designs and manufactures mobile railcar movers for several industries, including mining and refining.
Cushman & Wakefield senior vice president Joe Accurso and associate vice president Rob Holland represented Shuttlewagon, Inc. in the transaction. Mark Fountain and Nick Tinnel of True North Industrial Realty, LLC, represented ownership.
The 494,654-square-foot speculative industrial building at 8701 Elmwood Ave. in the South Kansas City market is the third and final building that NorthPoint will construct at Three Trails, a C&W spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com. The company has been one of the most active developers in the region. As reported in GlobeSt.com, Amazon recently agreed to entirely occupy an 822,000-square-foot facility developed by NorthPoint at Logistics Park Kansas City in the KS suburb of Edgerton, the largest spec building ever completed in the metro area.
